Our History
CTS Design is a Tuscan company that produces chairs, tables and design complements for the home and contract world.
All stages of the production process take place in Italy through a qualified and trained workforce. CTS produces and distributes worldwide tables, chairs, armchairs and sofas inspired by the Bauhaus current and its exponents.
Its history is rooted in passion for handcrafted furniture and the details that characterise them. Founded in 1976, in Poggibonsi, in the province of Siena, when Valdemaro Vannoni started a chair manufacturing company, CTS is today a guardian of traditional craftsmanship techniques, skilfully combined with the use of the most modern technologies.
Only top quality materials are used to create a completely Made in Italy production: solid oak wood, leathers processed by Italian tanneries, eco-leather certified for contract use, marble selected directly from the quarry, thick ceramics and premium fabrics.
The attention to material details and to all stages of processing that has always distinguished CTS is fundamental in order to be able to offer customers a constant and excellent quality strandard; This allowed CTS to be present on the Italian and international market for almost 50 years.
CTS is aimed at retailers, manufacturers, design and architecture studios, offering a wide range of articles, including tables, chairs, stools, armchairs and sofas.
The company’s organisational and production structure makes it possible to customise the product in terms of size and finish, as well as to realise elements and entire projects completely tailor-made.
Products with Bauhaus Style Design.
The company has been working for almost 50 years in the design furniture sector and in particular in the realisation and production of furnishing accessories inspired by the models of the greatest artists of the Bauhaus current.
Born in the 20th century, the Bauhaus artistic current belongs to the Modern Movement and represents a point of reference in the fields of design and architecture. Its aim was to incorporate under the wing of design, all the arts: architecture, sculpture and decoration
Some of the most prominent exponents were Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Frank Lloyd Wright, Eero Saarinen, Charles Edouard Le Corbusier, Harry Bertoia, George Nelson, Charles Eames and Eileen Gray.
The processings
CTS Design has for many years boasted a solid production of chairs, sofas, armchairs, tables and furnishing accessories. Thanks to years of experience in the sector, the use of new technologies and the use of innovative materials, the company has increased its table collection in particular by offering tops in different types of materials such as liquid laminate, marble and ceramic, thus being able to satisfy all customer requirements.
In addition, it boasts an entire sector of serial production on its own moulds of cast and die-cast aluminium bases, customisable in colour and finish.
In addition, an entire upholstery and carpentry sector is dedicated to the realisation of customised projects, particularly for contract furnishings (hotels, residences, restaurants, and shops).
